I just had an argument with my 36-year old daughter; she was so certain that she was right and I could not comprehend her certainty, as I had a totally different view of the situation. Although I listened to this episode a few weeks after it appeared, it was at the right moment.

One thing I'm certain of is that absolute confidence in one's own worldview restricts growth! Worse, if certain "cherished truths" set the frame for interactions, this sets the stage for patterns of domination and inequality, especially when reinforced by uneven power dynamics.
